I really enjoyed every moment of this trip and would get on the bike again tomorrow with no hesitation.
On the other hand it was an indescribable feeling when my 3.5 years old daughter ran to hug me and told me “Daddy, never ever leave for a bike trip again”. My younger son was also happy to see me screaming “daddy, daddy, daddy”…
They weren’t so interested in my trip report but were more busy opening the gifts they received 🙂
Zsolt, Ocsi and Csabi all had a great time during these past days and they will sure be there for the next one. Attila liked the tour but would have preferred a slower, more casual pace and we all agreed.
As for John he is still unsure. In his opinion we were running throughout the journey which was rather stressful and stated he was fighting for his life on the last day. We’ll see if he joins us next time…
During these 8 days we rode 3,123 km (not counting the 736 km we travelled on the train) and spent a net time of 50h 5m on the bikes to achieve a 62.2 km/h average speed…
As for the learnings it is a different story…
